Note: This article gives a wrap up of the Crown Lands based on an 1891
“valuable pamphlet written by Professor Alexander, a revision” of the
Crown Lands “which appears in Thrum’s Annual for 1891, and which gives a
very concise history of Hawaiian land tenures.”

Lorrin Thurston’s writings, housed at the Archives, Honolulu, Oahu,
Hawaii pointed out that one of the fears of the ‘revolutionary’ or
properly documented treasonous, conspirators, premeditation activists
supported by the U.S., their military, England, and the bankers (Morgan
and International bankers – includes the Bank of England) feared the
Royal families.

Specific problematic persons involved in passing illegal acts, laws, or
doctored laws…….remember that the Records offices were closed for
two (2)+ years AFTER the criminal dethronement of our Queen Liliuokalani
in 1893……..and much doctoring of records occurred at that time as
well…… and by reviewing the WHO’S WHO of the Hawaiian Kingdom, and
those who continued on in support of the entity (neither de facto nor de
jure as documented by Queen Liliuokalani’s documents) can be seen as
evidence of problematic issues, documented conspirators, treasonous
persons, etc. Examples of such persons were Sanford B. Dole, Lorrin
Thurston, Dr. Mott Smith, Thomas Akaka (ancestor of current Senator

Several years ago, on OLELO TV, a TV show called “TRUE CEDED LAND
OWNERS” aired. Eric Poohina, descendant of Kaluaipihana etals., and
myself, Amelia Kuulei Gora, gave a new history, one that belongs to our
families, our Hawaiian aboriginal people, a kanaka maoli history.

More evidence has been uncovered since the show. The following are two
additional historical facts found in research:

The uncovering of the criminal deviants who had their eyes on Hawaii is
being found out.

The criminal activities by documented conspirators/Terrorists supported
by the United States and Great Britain shows a web of criminal deviants
which affects not only Hawaii, but the World as well.

4) The U.S. supported by Great Britain did participate in extortion, had
maneuvered FRAUD treaties/conventions defrauding Private owners who
happened to be PEOPLE OF COLOR and moved to assume the Crown Lands,
Private lands, which belongs to Royal persons -others and myself.

5) The U.S. supported by Great Britain has since documented ADMISSION of
wrongdoing over dethroning Hawaii’s Queen in Public Law 103-150.

6) Affidavit/Lien/Notice No. 96-177455 filed on 12/17/96 does list Crown
Lands issues.

8) Books written with title of the OLELO – TV Show.

9) Affidavit/Lien/Notice with corrections to No. 96-177455 filed on
7/13/2005 with No. 2005-138468 with claims to ancestors, theirs and our
genealogies were filed at the Bureau of Conveyances, Honolulu, Oahu,
Hawaii.

Understandably, intense perusal over the documents are important because
there appears to be FRAUD with the ‘native tenant rights’ issue on
CROWN LANDS. Native Tenant Rights were issues affecting all other lands
and not lands of Kamehameha III’s heirs and successors.

All of these matters are issues of our friendly, neutral nation, the
Kingdom of Hawaii, and not the terrorist CORPORATE MAFIA nations known
as the U.S. and Great Britain.

Rents and leases are due to the Private owners of the Crown Lands, Alii
Nui/Alii lands, many descendants exist today and not to entity State of
Hawaii’s organization called OHA/ Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

For the purposes of documenting criminal activities, conspiracies,
extortion, criminal malfeasance, terrorist activities, breaches of the
Law of Nations, legally these are also posted as notices for the World
Court, many countries, etc.

For the purposes of letting all nations know about the ILL, CRIMINAL,
DECEITFUL conduct, criminal activities, participation of fraud,
corruption activities, all needs to know about the ILL WILL INTENDED FOR

to end that, closing up your /our discussions may be necessary………..talked with Richard about the comments and he’ll continue his somewhat abusive belittling stance still……..my suggestion is to close off your discussions and refrain from answering certain parties, etc.

The Pacific Empire has been mentioned a number of times in the old newspapers…………..

Samoa was grabbed by the Germans, French, and Americans; Aetearoa was grabbed by the English, and our Hawaiian Kingdom was grabbed by the Americans…………….and what is it that unites all the grabbers or what i (and others in the past) call Pirates?…………………………their economic ills, their documented bankruptcies because they all looked to maintain SLAVES, supported the U.S. / American Civil War of 1863-1865…………….What IS IS …………..the logic used by U.S. President William Clinton is what got him out of him being impeached………………the person who taught him such logic is the one that calls himself a king on Maui and operates with Mahealani Ventura-Oliver using “quantum” language, etc……….

but, I’ll share this………when U.S. President William Clinton was in “hot water”, I did send him a letter offering him a place with our Hawaiian government and asked him to work with us…………..well, Congress had a closed door session, and all those who were requesting for his impeachment were the ones who walked out first when the session ended, and the news came out that the impeachment moves were extinguished…………and that is what I had expected………….because U.S. President William Clinton would and could basically turn everything around if he supported the Hawaiian Kingdom……….. Herbert was a cousin because his mom married Uncle Walter……….Uncle was way lot younger and Herbert had issues for a time…….till i asked if his mom was happy………..he said yes, then told him……….they’re happy……….and that’s great! ……….we kinda laughed about that…..cause i think he just felt uncomfortable that he was close to his age…….

in our Gora family, i’ve noticed there are many years differences in many of the marriages/ relationships………..and that’s cool………..because the point is that everyone’s happy and enjoy the company they’re with………..and that’s love…….

Herbert did have a number of cases that were definitely important………..he was with Keanu Sai and Donald Lewis, until Keanu changed the game plan, etc……..he stepped away from them…

Miss Herbert………..several of us used to have lunch with him at the cafe in town and discuss issues…..his wife passed away soon after he died……appears from heartbreak………..we were hoping his son would pick up Herbert’s work………..and Herbert had hoped his daughter would….funny, only recently I started to think about them…………hope all is well……….

Herbert used to tell us about the time Matthew and he got arrested and Matthew told the police that he couldn’t be arrested……….rather than listen to him, they hauled them off………..once in jail, it became an international incident which the entity State of Hawaii quickly set him and Herbert free because of the immunity that Matthew had as an official from Aetearoa…..lol…….

Matthew was a neat man, about Herbert’s age, and we had a ‘communion of minds, prayers, connection’ at the Archives……….an awesome prayer was made, an ancient prayer which basically reunited our people……….Herbert truly had unique, awesome friends………and his cases were also very important as well…….because Sovereignty/Sovereign issues were part of the cases………………because of his years of being actively moving in Court, the challenges which frustrated the judges………..one judge in the City & County Court went stomping after him with his robes flying in the wind rushed after Herbert and friends into the hallways yelling to the policemen “OFFICERS, OFFICERS ….ARREST THAT MAN!”…………….the cops quickly retorted………’sorry your honor, but he’s out of our jurisdiction!”

the things happening nowadays are somewhat tame as compared to what was happening with Herbert, and many of the others………

although i was one of the youngest ones in Court cases with them, I totally enjoyed myself then and laugh about the good memories, the important works that they have laid, the foundation of maintaining our Hawaiian Kingdom issues over time………..and I must say, I was and still am very proud to be standing next to those still here as well………..what better examples of worthwhile time spent with purposeful goals………..because they were/are the doers, the movers, the shakers, and not just talkers……..and they have genealogies as well……….

He is from Wahiawa–Ohai street specifically and presently lives on Hawaiian Homestead in Nanakuli. I hope that he takes the ‘iwi’ from the military and reinturn it into a resting place. According to Abe his request was that the ‘iwi’ be reinturned in the same place and not mixed into a vault with other bones. Na Kanaka have become educated to the realities of tyranny and of the positive question of who Hawaiians are.What I see is the owners of the land lied to about their status and many homeless in their own nation. We can change this. I think in some ways some of us older activists have driven into a ditch. Many can not choose between being Hawaiian American and Hawaiian nationals. I n fairness the US makes it near impossible to function as a Hawaiian national.

I see the process has already started. I personally have been involved in efforts to improve Hawaiian national status. So I would share with you some of the problems I believe we should address first.

Leadership- Like many people living under oppressive regimes, Hawaiians face constant efforts to undermine us forming functional leadership. This is the number one worry the US has about Hawaii. If Hawaiians have legitimate leadership the next steps become obvious and threatening to US hold in our nation. Since the US supreme court has upheld in the past the rights contained in the Mahele grants and the beneficiary rights in the five trust, then America or Kingdom the owners of the most of Hawaii belongs to the heirs and successors [and these rights live in the HK]

So I put to you that the leadership needs to step up and that may just be you. Age is not the only basis to be a good leader.

Kala- this is the next problem, money even when we get hold of it, it can burn you. We know many who came up as activists and after getting grants, they know nobody and cant be reached. resources and income have to be created, as well as checks on the money so it is spent correctly. For me it should be spent on a law firm outside of Hawaii and sue for the looting of our trust and to replace the trusties. That’s just my kuleana.

We need to spend our money like they did in the civil rights movement and patronize Kanaka businesses. Hawaiians should not pay taxes to the US, but we still need to fund our own Aupuni.

I do not suggest we jump into a Island wide government, but that local ones based on the model from Hawaiian history.

Lastly I did mention Kanaky and I work directly with them. They want a pacific united with the Hawaiians in a central role, as Amelia pointed out they know our shared history and they wait for us.

But, lost this ‘kuleana’ when Hawaii became the first to have abortion in 1972. So, now it is about not having a sick child (because of military contaminants in our environment) or if one becomes a victum of congenial birth defects than it becomes a child of the village not the ‘ward of state’.I stopped in to Keau’s today and I sat and talked to John Keali’i one of the last ‘holoholo’ fishermens left on our shorelines. He did his best for 8 years taking care of many people that are doing well because of John. There are many more like him at Keau’s and they are our last once they are gone we loose our access to the shores for our food.

The problems I am talking about are:
1) Growing inequality
2) Growing acceptance of class disparity
3) Growing acceptance of dictatorship mentalities
4) Growing acceptance of economic development schemes designed by the few for the benefit of the few.

It takes a great deal of training to keep a balance in the ‘movement’ and often times we just can’t find the strength to Ku Kanaka. So we rest and move on to another battle. As for the outright dictatorship so very true, however, it has it’s orgin of the talking chief stuff in the entire Pacific. Our Hawaiian Communal or the village raising the child is more than a cliche (sp) it’s years of community practice. This being said I often crave for individualism which hardly finds it’s way to Waianae. It’s always about the community and the people within it.

Still feeling the effects of what happened at Wheeler Air Force Base. Only because the violence that Annalle caused was so unnecessary. But, I am so proud of Alika, Tom and Robert for representing our Na Kupuna and their essence of spirit in a dignified manner. After some discussion, he stated that his brother had used his identity and was charged for a number of criminal issues on the mainland, and that no child molesting was involved…..had something to do with using the bathroom in public.

individual who was more concerned about his prideful genealogy than that of the iwi for which we

were assembled. There was absolutely no control exhibited by your staff to conduct a cordial

meeting complimentary to both we Hawaiian Nationals or the United States Military, as was

To your benefit, it is our understanding that being new to the Hawaiian Islands, you were not

properly prepared nor given adequate information regarding the established posture of ‘Aha

Kukaniloko/Koa Mana, the State of Hawaii recognized lineal descendants; our continuing and

peaceful twelve (12) year relationship explicit to Hawaiian National traditional comprehension;

seizure of, destruction and willful damage done to our National Treasures, historic monuments,

works of art and science, and our sacred ancestral burial places. To we Hawaiian Nationals, the

iwi, (bones of our family members) are a part of the land and to disturb and remove them is to

desecrate our own lives and well-being, for the life is in the land: “ua mau ke ea o ka aina i ka

pono” translated “the life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.” Our life is in the

land and our iwi are our life.

Your Organization also failed to reveal and affirm your claim of clear land title ownership of our iwi

sites in question, which your Organization claims to own and/or control as PROPERTY OT THE

UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. Our legal counsel has provided you a copy of a case wherein

the State of Hawaii and United States Federal Government could not prove any lawful

ownership of the land that you now claim as United States Military property.

Lawful Notice of Obligatory Responsibility: Request for clarifications.

To the United States Army Garrison-Hawaii, Commanding:

1. Please prove your claim of “exclusive territorial jurisdiction” over Hawaiian land and

Nationals which claim of jurisdiction has not been revealed or proven. Jurisdiction over

the land (in rem) and in personum (Private Citizen) must be proven in writing, not

just assumed, not just stated, and not just claimed without proof and written

evidence of law. Jurisdiction when challenged, as in this instant, must be

responded to IN WRITING AND PROVEN, AS REQUIRED BY YOUR OWN UNITED

STATES LAW.

Please review the lost Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) case

(DLNR Case No. MA 09-03) documented in the United States Court for the Hawaii

District as filing (MC 09 000270 JMS BMK of 08/30/2009, et al.) proving lack of

United States jurisdiction on Hawaiian National lands, which was provided to you

and your legal counsel by our legal counsel at the September 23, 2010 meeting.

2. Regarding: International Humanitarian Law – Treaties and Documents

Please confirm or deny Convention (IV) relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in

Time of War. Geneva 12 August 1949, i.e., Article 42, 43 and 56 as either applying or not

applying to our situation.

In closing, I request that you please consider an immediate, closed follow-up meeting with this

Spokesperson Thomas Joseph Lenchanko and our legal counsel so we may together, respectfully

develop a more knowledgeable understanding of Hawaiian National traditions, our cultural

At first glance this looks like nothing more than a photo opportunity where the new incoming commander so-and-so, shows that he’s sensitive to the needs of the Hawaiians. There’s a kahu, some hula dancers and a document is signed as if demonstrating that this malevolent gesture, while not carrying the weight of law, is “in principle” a sign of his good intentions.

But let’s look closer.

It’s interesting that the document was a “covenant.” A covenant (similar to a marriage) is different from a contract in that both parties agree to continue honoring the agreement even in cases where the other side breaks the terms of the agreement. In the case of a contract, failure to meet its terms breaks the contract. It’s pau. But in the case of the covenant, the agreement continues even if one party fails to meet its terms.

In the Bible, God makes a covenant with man. It’s implicit in the bible that man will be the one to break the covenant as man is not perfect and is easily led into temptation and sin. But in this arrangement signed by Hawaiian and the military who do you think will be the one to break terms most frequently, and who do you think will be the ones who will expected to continue honoring the agreement?

These agreements, even when done in principle with ceremonial hula dancers and kahus, are extremely offensive to a people who know what they actually represent – this is a systematic annihilation of existing populations, and it’s the seizure, exploitation and the contamination of their lands. Tourism and the military are the two largest industries in Hawaii. While both have blighted the islands with their various forms of construction projects, the military takes the cake for pollution. Aside from rendering an entire island dangerous for centuries to come from unexploded ordnance, they have contaminated countless other sites with PCBs, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, dioxin, Navy Special Fuel Oil, lead, hydrochloric acid, asbestos, radioactive isotopes (Did you know that Hickam was the wash down area for planes returning from the Bikini Atoll nuclear testing grounds?) and the list goes on and on…

So much for a sacred trust agreement, the hawaiians should have opted for a TRO instead.

Mahalo for devotion to your ohana and dedication for the Ko Hawaii Pae Aina.

Mahalo piha for the posting the “billboard” of the NATIVE HAWAIIAN COVENANT SIGNORS for they are so deserving of all the recognition from the Kanaka Maoli for their contribution to the Nation Ko Hawaii Pae Aina.
These signors should be honored for what they are and not for want some try to interpret as their good intentions. They are not intended to be anything less than well qualified Traitors, the best that money can buy for they are not only educated above most, they have the koko.

A few hours after the great ceremony I watched it almost live on Olelo! While the faces of the military occupiers was cheerful, the faces of the Native Hawaiian Covenanters was less that of the envoys of Japan signing the surrender shipboard the U.S.S. Missouri in 1945. In fact the Hawaiian Covenanters had a deep look like that of convicted Nuremburg War Criminals.

As I watched this day of infamy, above that of Pearl Harbor, I realized I was not alone for I felt the presence of the 38, 000 Hawaiian Nationals who signed the Ku’e Petition of 1897 looking down upon that gala event on sacred grounds. While we of Hawaii today make excuses for “those with good intentions”, the Ku’e Petitioners are well aware of what this Native Hawaiian Covenant is all about and need not say a physical word.

In fact, as I watched this circus of many rings, I thought it to be the Resurrection of the Committee of Safety but then realized the Committee of Safety never died. So, if I had the financial ability, I would honored these “Covenanters” by posting their well deserved pictures on every telephone pole and post office throughout Hawaii nei to ensure they get their proper recognition. In the near future, I look forward in celebrating “Covenanters Day” as a new State of Hawaii Holiday.

I had many meetings with her and Janal at UH Manoa for the Akaka Bill. I opposing it and she and Janal wanting more power, thus, spreading their venom throughout foreign country as an inclusion for all native Hawaiians (non native Hawaiians). Many women came into power using the aftermath of 911. The glee in their eyes is still with me, I’ve come to know many women careers flourishing because of 911. And Annelle is the queen bee of them all.

I was there too, during the Stop the Bombing on Kahoolawe too! Annelle had a gun to our heads according to Aunty Frenchie for she was much closer to the frontline people such as Walter and faced Annelle and her gun pointing at those brave souls.

At Wheeler Air Force Base, she had the same venom dripping from her mouth. We walked into a trap that was set by her. With the Commander between her gripping legs–she attacked just as she did in the aftermath of 911 at UH Manoa with Charlie Rose of the Hawaiian Civic Club.

She did exactly what she did to Summer (I later found out who was the opio woman) and to myself in the aftermath of 911. What I am saying this is a pattern of her ‘terroistic behavior! Annelle used the same logistic tension that those evil ones did in the cockpit of that airplane that flew into the twin towers where citizens from a 167 countries died on 911. Everything that Annelle does is a career move.

Annelle have been terrorizing Waianae for the past 10 years with the US Armed Forces by her side and have perfected her skills to oppress women and children.

George Clooney ‘The American’ movie was a great movie for it prepared Pono Kealoha and I for this insane experience. He was three feet away from the commander and was cool calm and collect the whole time with Annelle. He went their to document and did a fantastic job. I was up against the wall watching and eating my dinner. Bananas, sweet potato, poi, dried fish–it was tasty!

You would have been proud for Tom and Alika acted with grace and reverence to the reason why we were there. For they have had 40 plus years of experience with reinturning ‘iwi.’ Mr. Badayo Waianae Konohiki, he is always with us even in the spirit world.

Reply by Tane on September 22, 2010 at 11:55am: The worst thing one can do is to stereotype. Also, one person cannot do all things or be cognizant sufficiently of all things. We can toss out ideas as seeds of thoughts for others to opt into. There are many things already happening that many aren’t aware of due to the fact that most emphasize on political justice/injustice; get locked into the U.S. terminology, agenda, and forced assimilation and adopting their terminology. Thinking within their box is complying to their idealogy, intolerances, and accepting their character-assassinations of other peoples, countries, religions, cultures, etc.The news media in all its forms, including entertainment media; sales and marketing strategy in conditioning the minds; propaganda and brainwashing techniques employed have selectively shaped the opinion of the masses.

Falling prey to these “tools” can lead to confusions, misrepresentations, and manipulation which all strip away criical thinking and reasoning powers. Tunnel vision and subjective conditioning of what one experiences, perceives and interpreting concepts induced through issues or specific conflicts can form one’s outlook and generalizations as reality.

I’m certain that through various discourses, brainstorming has occurred that fill the pockets of doubt and hopelessness with confidence. Many aeas in questions have already been sett in motion for survival and susttenance. The creative juices are already flowing without grandstanding.

It’s easy to overlook what many are contending with and coping or even overcoming the odds placed against them. Thus, we do what we can that is part of our personal kuleana. There are meeting of the minds in different avenues and fields tthat many could be unaware of or justt dismiss as insignificant.

Back in the 1960s, I coined the phrase, “Hawaiian Renaissance”; a rebirth. Many of us spoke of creative ways to bring emphasis of our Hawaiian-Polynesian culture, heritage, and society. Today that word is used quite often and the goal continues. Things don’t happen instantly or overnight; but needs time to develop and evolve through discussions and innovative and creative ways.

People find their niches, interests, and even expertise to forward their knowledge and awareness; along with their ideas and things they are familiar with. Some things work and some things don’t; then it’s back to the drawing-board.

Much attention has been taken away with volatile issues and actions from both sides of the issues with one trying to counter the other. Let’s not forget some of the progress we have gained thrrough our term of survival.

The revival of the Hawaiian language, arts and crafts, sciences in agriculture, medicine, oceanography, sports, economic/business acumen, modern and ancient forms of education, architecture, form of governance, etc. has been ongoing.

The problem I see stems from the U.S. belligerent occupation and enforced assimilation. Add to this are the intermarriages with other foreign ethnicities and adopting their values, mindset, culture, and behavior patterns. This becomes more pronounced if the Hawaiian culture and values are not taught or practiced.

One thing for certain is when the U.S. deoccupies Hawai’i, there will be more involvement from the Hawaii nationals to re-establish itself as the progressive, modern nation it was known for at the time of the criminal invasion by the U.S. Most of the problems is due to the interference and presence of the U.S.A. militaryand its governments and illegal hostile/settlers.

The U.S. is responsible for reparations and restitutions for knowingly committing criminal violations of international laws. We can see the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan that was created by the U.S. and what needs to be done. Hawai’i faces similar conditions and reconstruction.

There are much already in motion; so, I’m not worried about it. All countries have their ups and downs and have to contend with the challenges as they are faced with them. So we must move with confidence, critical thinking, and compassion.

Appears Cleghorn did not want to be directly associated with the treasonous group and happend to have gotten “lost”. Cleghorn was the brother-in-law of Queen Liliuokalani due to his marriage to Princess Miriam Likelike and the parents of Princess Kaiulani.

Pushing aside the reason for travel at the Hawaiian Kingdom expense for economic plans with the U.S., the travel monies granted in the Legislative Session of 1892, and approved for use on January 5, 1893, was used instead for treasonous activities involved plans to “secure annexation with the United States”.

The language added “We citizens and representatives of the Hawaiian Islands, organizing and acting for the public safety and the common good, hereby proclaim that a Provisional government for the control and management of public affairs and the protection of the public peace is hereby established. to exist under terms of union with the United States of America have been negotiated and agreed upon.”

“The terms upon which the annexation shall be made…………………..we shall remain here until our object is accomplished or our application is rejected.”

“The “professional left’ is busting our butt to mobilize progressive voters in 2010, picking up the ball that this White House dropped when they refused to fight for the overwhelmingly popular public option, refused to break up the big banks, and demobilized Obama voters who expected this president to at least fight for big change,” Progressive Change Campaign Committee cofounder Adam Green said in statement. “When Vice President Biden tells Joe Lieberman to ‘stop whining’ about the public option, and tells Ben Nelson to ‘stop whining’ about voting on a middle-class tax cut that benefits 98 percent of Americans, he’ll have some credibility on the whining front.”

The PCCC backed congressional candidate Ann McLane Kuster in her New Hampshire primary contest; she is running for the seat Hodes is vacating to run for the U.S. Senate, and she spoke at the Stoneyfield Farm fundraiser, which also benefited Rep. Carol Shea-Porter’s bid for reelection and the New Hampshire Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign Committee.

“You’re welcome, Joe Biden, for helping to get the more electable Democrat who actually excites voters to be the Democratic nominee — instead of a lame corporate stooge. How’s Blanche Lincoln working out?” Green said.

Previous exhortations from the White House to the left and other parts of the Democratic base to tamp down their criticisms have been met with similar howls of outrage.

In August, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs provoked an episode of agita when he returned some of the friendly fire the administration was receiving from what he called “the professional left” on cable television networks.

It was the first time that such action has been taken against the bank, which is formally known as the IOR or Institute for Religious Works. Prosecutors placed the bank’s director-general and its chairman under investigation in connection with two allegedly suspicious transactions which may have breached Italy’s anti-money laundering laws. Investigators have spent more than a year scrutinising millions of euros of Vatican bank transactions to see if they violated regulations. The Vatican bank’s chairman, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi … was placed under investigation. He is not being investigated for laundering money but for omitting to disclose key information. The Vatican expressed “the utmost confidence” in the bank’s senior executives, including Mr Gotti Tedeschi. A member of the conservative religious movement Opus Dei, he has spoken out on the need for more morality in financing. Mr Gotti Tedeschi is a close adviser to Italy’s finance minister, Giulio Tremonti. The IOR manages the Vatican’s finances as well as the accounts of Catholic organisations and religious orders.

Despite a growing public demand for more information about how food is produced, that won’t happen with the salmon because of idiosyncracies embedded in federal regulations. The FDA says it cannot require a label on the genetically modified food once it determines that the altered fish is not “materially” different from other salmon – something agency scientists have said is true. Perhaps more surprising, conventional food makers say the FDA has made it difficult for them to boast that their products do not contain genetically modified ingredients. The decision carries great weight because, while genetically modified agriculture has been permitted for years and engineered crops are widely used in processed foods, this would be the first modified animal allowed for human consumption in the United States. The AquAdvantage salmon has been given a gene from the ocean pout, an eel-like fish, and a growth hormone from a Chinook salmon. Consumer advocates say they worry about labeling for genetically engineered beef, pork and other fish, which are lining up behind the salmon for federal approval.

The side effects were linked to one of the three seasonal flu vaccines, Fluvax and Fluvax junior, from the drug company CSL, but the [Therapeutic Goods Administration] maintained despite that, that “the overall risk-benefit balance of both products remains positive”. Research published yesterday in the journal Eurosurveillance showed Fluvax might have caused two to three hospital admissions due to seizure for every admission from flu it prevented. The chief executive of the Public Health Association of Australia, Michael Moore, said further examination of risks was needed, at arm’s length from the TGA. The government should consider creating an independent centre. “There is a concern … that the TGA is the body that approves vaccines and is also the body that determines what the risks and benefits are when concerns are raised,” he said.

In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby. Six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence about these events at the National Press Club and urge the government to publicly confirm their reality. One of them, ICBM launch officer Captain Robert Salas, was on duty during one missile disruption incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base and was ordered to never discuss it. Captain Salas notes, “The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it.” Col. Halt adds, “I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted—both then and now—to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation.” Declassified U.S. government documents, to be distributed at the event, now substantiate the reality of UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites extending back to 1948. The press conference will also address present-day concerns about the abuse of government secrecy as well as the ongoing threat of nuclear weapons.

Also announced were three major professional groups which have joined the worldwide, and ever-growing, “9/11 Truth Movement.” Representatives of “Scientists for 9/11 Truth,” “U.S. Military Officers for 9/11 Truth” and “Actors & Artists for 9/11 Truth” presented their findings and unveiled their eye-opening websites. Each non-profit group has launched a petition calling for a new, transparent investigation. In NY, representing “Scientists,” Professor Niels Harrit said, “The official account put forth by NIST violates the fundamental laws of physics and chemistry.” In LA, physics teacher David Chandler discussed the swift destruction of the WTC towers, including Building 7, the little-known third tower. Having demonstrated its free fall, he confronted the US government agency NIST with his analyses and forced NIST to revise its November 2008 Final Report on WTC 7. NIST’s Draft Report had claimed free fall was impossible but NIST ultimately acknowledged WTC 7 was in absolute free fall for over two seconds. Concluded Chandler, “Free fall is physically impossible without explosives.” In LA, former Director of Advanced Space Programs Development Lt. Col. Robert Bowman stated, “9/11 has been an excuse to use our brave young troops as cannon fodder in unjust wars of aggression.”

Its nickname, the Fort, has been familiar for decades to neighbors and government workers alike. Yet that nickname is one of hundreds of supposed secrets Pentagon reviewers blacked out in the new, censored edition of an intelligence officer’s Afghan war memoir. The Defense Department is buying and destroying the entire uncensored first printing of Operation Dark Heart, by Anthony Shaffer, a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve and former Defense Intelligence Agency officer, in the name of protecting national security. Another supposed secret removed from the second printing: the location of the Central Intelligence Agency’s training facility — Camp Peary, Va., a fact discoverable from Wikipedia. And the name and abbreviation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, routinely mentioned in news articles. And the fact that Sigint means “signals intelligence.” Not only did the Pentagon black out Colonel Shaffer’s cover name in Afghanistan, Chris Stryker, it deleted the source of his pseudonym: the name of John Wayne’s character in the 1949 movie “The Sands of Iwo Jima.” The redactions offer a rare glimpse behind the bureaucratic veil that cloaks information the government considers too important for public airing.

Questionable U.S. spending after gulf oil spill

Bush’s much-maligned reaction to Hurricane Katrina. The government also spent $10,000 for just over three minutes of video showing a routine offshore rig inspection for news organizations but couldn’t say whether any ran the footage. While most of the contracts don’t raise alarms, some could provide ammunition for critics of government waste. Among all the contracts, perhaps none is more striking than the Coast Guard’s decision to pay $9,000 per month for two months to John Brooks Rice of New Orleans, an on-call worker for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, under a no-bid contract to monitor media coverage from late May through July. Rice told the AP that he compiled print and video news stories and offered his subjective appraisal of the tone of the coverage. “From reading and watching the media I would create reports,” he said. “I reported either positive coverage, negative coverage, misinformation coverage.”

But now military researchers have turned their attention from mass destruction to a far more precise challenge: finding, tracking, and killing individuals. Every year, tens of billions of Pentagon dollars go missing. The money vanishes not because of fraud, waste or abuse, but because U.S. military planners have appropriated it to secretly develop advanced weapons and fund clandestine operations. Next year, this so-called black budget will be even larger than it was in the Cold War days of 1987, when the leading black-budget watchdog, the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA), began gathering reliable estimates. The current total is staggering: $58 billion—enough to pay for two complete Manhattan Projects. Where does the money go? Tracking the black budget has always been a challenge. But there are clues. According to Todd Harrison, an analyst at the CSBA, the allocations for classified operations in the 2011 federal budget include $19.4 billion for research and development across all four branches of the military (funding for the CIA, including its drone strikes in Afghanistan and Pakistan, is contained within the Defense Department black budget), another $16.9 billion for procurement, and $14.6 billion for “operations and maintenance.” This latter category, Harrison notes, has been expanding quickly. This may suggest that many classified technologies are now moving from the laboratory to the battlefield.

Botox Maker to Pay $600M to Resolve Investigation

The Justice Department and the company said Wednesday in a statement it will plead guilty to one misdemeanor charge of “misbranding,” in which the company’s marketing led physicians to use Botox for unapproved uses. Those included the treatment of headache, pain, spasticity and cerebral palsy in children. Companies are prohibited from promoting drugs for unapproved, or “off-label,” uses. Allergan said it will pay $375 million in connection with the plea, which includes the forfeiture of $25 million in assets. Additionally, the company will pay $225 million in civil fines — $210 million to the federal governments and the rest to several states — related to the investigation, although the company denies liability for the civil claims. Allergan “paid kickbacks to induce [physicians] to inject Botox for off-label uses and Allergan also taught doctors how to bill for off-label uses, including coaching doctors how to miscode Botox claims leading to millions of dollars of false claims being to submitted to federal and state programs,” Assistant Attorney General Tony West said.

WJLA-TV fires veteran anchor Doug McKelway, cites insubordination, misconduct

McKelway was placed on indefinite suspension in late July after his run-in with ABC7’s news director and general manager, Bill Lord. In a letter to McKelway this week, the station said it was terminating his contract immediately, citing insubordination and misconduct. Amid the ongoing BP oil spill in July, McKelway covered a Capitol Hill demonstration by environmental groups protesting the influence of oil-industry contributions to members of Congress. In his piece, McKelway said the sparsely attended event attracted protesters “largely representing far-left environmental groups.” He went on to say the protest “may be a risky strategy because the one man who has more campaign contributions from BP than anybody else in history is now sitting in the Oval Office, President Barack Obama, who accepted $77,051 in campaign contributions from BP.” Lord took exception to McKelway’s reporting and asked to meet with him, according to several station sources who were granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive personnel matter. A shouting match between the two men ensued, leading to McKelway’s suspension, sources said.

Future quantum computers will, for example, be able to pull important information out of the biggest databases almost instantaneously. As the amount of electronic data stored worldwide grows exponentially, the technology will make it easier for people to search with precision for what they want. Jeremy O’Brien, director of the UK’s Centre for Quantum Photonics, who led the project, said many people in the field had believed a functional quantum computer would not be a reality for at least 25 years. “However, we can say with real confidence that, using our new technique, a quantum computer could, within five years, be performing calculations that are outside the capabilities of conventional computers,” he told the British Science Festival, as he presented the research. The immense promise of quantum computing has led governments and companies worldwide to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the field. Big spenders, including the US defence and intelligence agencies concerned with the national security issues, and governments – such as Canada, Australia and Singapore – see quantum electronics as the foundation for IT industries in the mid-21st century.

Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta released a study revealing that nearly 27% of Americans are now considered obese (that is, more than 20% above their ideal weight), and in nine states, the obesity rate tops 30%. We eat way too much meat — up to 220 lb. per year for every man, woman and child in the U.S. — and only 14% of us consume our recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Our processed food is dense with salt and swimming in high-fructose corn syrup, two flavors we can’t resist. Currently, enough food is manufactured in the U.S. for every American to consume 3,800 calories per day — we need only 2,350 in a healthy diet — and while some of that gets thrown away, most is gobbled up long before it can go stale on the shelves. Keeping the food flowing — and the prices low enough for people to continue buying it — requires a lot of industrial-engineering tricks, and those have knock-on effects of their own. Up to 10 million tons of chemical fertilizer per year are poured onto fields to cultivate corn alone, for example, which has increased yields 23% from 1990 to 2009 but has led to toxic runoffs that are poisoning the beleaguered Gulf of Mexico.

Maybe not. Recently, a few political scientists have begun to discover a human tendency deeply discouraging to anyone with faith in the power of information. It’s this: Facts don’t necessarily have the power to change our minds. In fact, quite the opposite. In a series of studies in 2005 and 2006, researchers at the University of Michigan found that when misinformed people, particularly political partisans, were exposed to corrected facts in news stories, they rarely changed their minds. In fact, they often became even more strongly set in their beliefs. “The general idea is that it’s absolutely threatening to admit you’re wrong,” says political scientist Brendan Nyhan, the lead researcher on the Michigan study. The phenomenon — known as “backfire” — is “a natural defense mechanism to avoid that cognitive dissonance.” There is a substantial body of psychological research showing that people tend to interpret information with an eye toward reinforcing their preexisting views. If we believe something about the world, we are more likely to passively accept as truth any information that confirms our beliefs, and actively dismiss information that doesn’t. This is known as “motivated reasoning.”

Vitamin D better than vaccines at preventing flu, report claims

The finding has implications for flu epidemics since vitamin D, which is naturally produced by the human body when exposed to direct sunlight, has no significant side effects, costs little and can be several times more effective than anti-viral drugs or vaccine. Only one in ten children, aged six to 15 years, taking the sunshine vitamin in a clinical trial came down with flu compared with one in five given a dummy tablet. Mitsuyoshi Urashima, the Japanese doctor who led the trial, told The Times that vitamin D was more effective than vaccines in preventing flu. Vitamin D was found to be even more effective when the comparison left out children who were already given extra vitamin D by their parents, outside the trial. Taking the sunshine vitamin was then shown to reduce the risk of flu to a third of what it would otherwise be. The trial, which was double blind, randomised, and fully controlled scientifically, was conducted by doctors and scientists from Jikei University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan.

Swiss hold ‘$150m Nigeria bribes’

Michael Kase Aondoakaa said the money was part of $180m in bribes given by US construction company Halliburton to Nigerian officials. The Nigerian government says it has asked the US to release the names of officials who negotiated the bribes. Halliburton admitted paying the bribes to top officials between 1994 and 2004. “We have discovered that $150 million of the bribe money is in Zurich. That is the first shocking discovery. The entire money is $180 million. $150 million is already trapped in Zurich,” Mr Aondoakaa said. Halliburton and its engineering subsidiary Kellogg Brown Root negotiated bribes with “three successive holders of a top-level office in the executive branch of the government of Nigeria” during that time, according to the plea agreement the company made with the US Department of Justice. The Nigerian government has come under pressure from the media to follow up the findings of the US court and prosecute the Nigerian bribe-takers. Mr Aondoakaa said they had requested the court unseal the judgement and pass on the names of the officials. Albert “Jack” Stanley, the former chief executive of KBR who pleaded guilty to making the bribes in order to secure $6bn in contracts, is to be sentenced on 6 May. KBR has agreed to pay more than $402m in fines, of which Halliburton, as the former parent company, agreed to pay $302m.

Special license plates shield officials from traffic tickets

The electronic transponder on the dashboard – used to bill tollway users – is inactive. The Camry’s owners, airport traffic officer Rudolph Duplessis and his wife, Loretta, have never had a toll road account, officials say. They’ve never received a violation notice in the mail, either. Their car is registered as part of a state program which hides their home address on Department of Motor Vehicles records. The agency that operates the tollway does not have legal access to their address. Their Toyota is one of 996,716 vehicles registered to motorists who are affiliated with 1,800 state and local agencies and who are allowed to shield their addresses under the Confidential Records Program. An Orange County Register investigation has found that the program, designed 30 years ago to protect police from criminals, has been expanded to cover hundreds of thousands of public employees – from police dispatchers to museum guards – who face little threat from the public. Their spouses and children can get the plates, too. This has happened despite warnings from state officials that the safeguard is no longer needed because updated laws have made all DMV information confidential to the public.

1) Cover page (covers ancestors name, RP/Royal Patent Number, LCA/ Land Commission Award number

2) Affidavit/Certification (family genealogies)

3) Heirs and Assigns page

4) EXHIBITS (Write EXHIBITS in top right hand corner):
a. RP/Royal Patent LCA/Land Commission Award brief history (shows names of deceased owners and successors)
b. Survey Notes (obtain from the Archives, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii) which shows the map, dimensions of the land(s). (ask the Archivist how to obtain your survey notes….. also ask how to look at the books available documenting awards from the Great Mahele/ Kamehameha III period, an extra step to take is to find out the testimonies in regards to the parcel(s)/lands belonging to your families.

5) JURAT, NOTARY page

6) Xerox two (2) or more sets. The notary usually wants to do only two (2) for a set. If more copies are needed for family members, you could make copies after the notary signs the documents, and even after the filing is completed.

7) obtain a notary signature from your Credit Union, bank — First Hawaiian Bank has a preferred customer account that you may be able to qualify for……worth it because the cost of a Notary will be nothing/free……….at the Credit Unions and some banks also give free notary signature……cousin paid about $50 a couple of weeks ago —$5 per notary signature.

8) take the two (2) sets of documents to the Bureau of Conveyances, Regular System section and pay $25 for a set which covers up to 20 pages. Any amount of pages over 20 will cost $1 per page.

9) The Bureau of Conveyances located on Punchbowl Street is open in the mornings till 3:30 p.m. They do not accept documents later than that time. (Mondays-Fridays (Holidays closed)).
